Why did you decide to do the work you are doing now?

I've always been the creative type, and at it's basis – a creator. As a child, I was very tactile and enjoyed making things; doll houses, art, clothing, you name it. In school, I explored different avenues of artistry, but as I grew older, I realized our daily environments have a heavy impact on how we enjoy our lives. I knew in this field, I could make a dramatic impact on someone's personal life by turning their visions into reality. The satisfaction my job brings me is indescribable and what's even better, is that the industry is constantly changing, so there is always something new to learn and grow from!

What's the farthest you've ever been from home? (describe)

I've been traveling since I was a baby thanks to my parents, taking me to their home countries for many years (Colombia & Honduras), so I've always had the travel bug. As of right now, the farthest place I've been to is Maui, Hawaii. The sun rays, culture, and smells of all the tropical flowers and the seaside was the most amazing experience I've had. I vow to visit again one day.

What fad or trend do you hope comes back?

Can I be honest and say fanny packs?! Who doesn't love the convenience and versatility of those things?!? But if you're looking for a design related answer, I'd have to vote for Art Deco trends to come back because I love the geometrics and interesting architecture shown in the Art Deco world, and I also feel it translates well into current modern times. This was hard to answer, since many historical trends are already back like mid century modern from the 50s, large scale florals inspired by the 60s, or reworked antiques inspired by current shabby chic styles. What's old is always new again!

What kind of art do you enjoy most?

I appreciate all different types of expressions of art, but I would say Art Nouveau art pieces tend to speak to me the most. The ongoing gentle lines dipping, lifting, and connecting, permeating a type of effortless beauty just takes me away. I could stare at work by Alphonse Mucha for hours, I love it all so much.

What website do you visit most often?

Definitely Pinterest. I'm on there for pretty much everything, every day. Design inspiration, hair styles, clothing outfits, DIY tutorials, recipes... On any given day, I've probably visited Pinterest 10 times already. I've been on Pinterest for many years and honestly, it never gets old because there are always new ideas being uploaded. It's great to stay on trend.

What is the best way to start your day?

A cup of hazelnut coffee with homemade breakfast sitting in my kitchen flooded with natural light and surrounded by my favorite coordinated colors and décor with some music playing. My happy place, to say the least!

What 3 words would your coworkers use to describe you?

Curious, Crafty, and Creative. I'm the type that is always thinking outside the box!
