Why did you decide to do the work you are doing now?

I love the art of color in design, and how a transformed environment can change ones mood and enhance your spirit.


What’s the farthest you’ve ever been from home (describe?)?

We visited my son in Maastricht, Netherlands. They call it the gem of the Netherlands. Most of the Dutch people speak 3 different languages, They are so warm and welcoming!


What is something that a ton of people are obsessed with but that you just don’t get excited over?



What fad or trend do you hope comes back?

Big, bold colors.


What kind of art do you enjoy most?

I love going to Art museums, and recently visited The Louis Comfort Tiffany Museum of stained glass, art, mosaics, glass lamps and jewelry. He was a master of all forms of art. I loved everything!!


What movie title best describes your life?

'The Greatest Showman' because I love musicals and I love to dance. The movie just lifts your spirit...you leave with a feeling of happiness, which is always a goal of mine. I play piano and music can soothe your soul!


What website do you visit most often?

Pinterest and food networks.


What are you really good at, but kind of embarrassed that you are good at it?

Helping people.


What is the best way to start your day?

Giving a compliment to someone you know or don't know!


What do you consider to be your best personal design find?

A large framed oil painting in a botanical garden setting that a gallery was willing to just about give away.


What 3 words would your co-workers use to describe you?

Short, speedy (as in walking), and happy.


What is one of your favorite smells and why?

Fresh flowers...it can set your mood for the day. (Banana bread comes in at a close second)!


As the only human left on Earth, what would you do?

Travel endlessly...Dance, Dance, Dance....and find a good bakery!


What’s the best and worst piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Best - If someone is kind to you, then make sure your take the time to thank them. 

Worst - Not taking my first design job right out of college, because I did not have a car.
